collection reference 3388, circa 1860 with later conversion to rimfire (possibly originally dual ignition with spare percussion cylinder), octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'HARVEYS PATENT No. 3644', small bead fore-sight, dove-tailed standing notch rear-sight, missing articulated rammer, barrel fixed via a wedge, plain cylinder, missing bottom-strap, border and scroll engraved radiused boxlock hammerless action missing sliding safe from the left hand face and modified internal hammer-nose, finely chequered saw-handled bag-shaped grip and guarded self-cocking trigger, further small losses possible, traces of original finish
